Music - My Motivation & Inspiration to Design

Recently, in a fond of J-Pop Jazz.

Some of them have a sense of going back to the 80's early 90's.

My favourite would be Kaori Kobayashi's Walk in the Night

Jazztronik, FreeTempo are also on my favourite's list.

Photography

Sometimes you need to get yourself a little dirty when you’re out doing some photography, but that can all be cleaned up later on whilst your images are uploading to your machine. You may need to lie flat on your stomach in a pile of dirt, or be knee deep in murky muddy water (make sure it is clear of crocs)… that’s what makes photography so exciting.

Stepping into the 10th year of 21st century...

First of all, I would like to say HAPPY NEW YEAR! Wish everyones' life are better than ever! Designers would probably improvise designs to make this statement comes true in some way.

For the year 2010, there has been a technological boosting into different products in every way to enhance the daily use products. From medical devices to packaging, there could be innovative designs which include some technological support to the products. Whether it is because people are running out of simple ideas, or wanted to enhance more possible designs to the world, these ideas are brilliant.

Recently, an innovative fan, designed by Dyson - the Dyson Air Multiplier. It is a new innovation of fan which came out to the mass media. This is a clever design.

(sourcing from: http://www.dyson.com/fans/)

This piece of design completely changed the typical look of a fan. Also, it is claimed to be more quite as there's no blades for producing noise.

The other one which I would like to mention is, the Microsoft Surface, table computer. Basically, its a computer which embedded into a coffee table. The innovative side would be the interaction of the table. It has multiple touching sensors which allows you to touch with one finger or more. Although multi-touch is not new to people, I guess it would be a very cutting edge thing for a coffee table.

So happy new year to all the designers and hope you can produce something which enhance the world's living in some way!

Gateway to Africa

Just been to Marrakech, in Morocco recently. Realizing the vigorous cultural differences in Africa and Europe. I would have to say the orange juice over there is really nice! Sweet and cheap!

One of the most expensive things to be produced in Morocco is leather.
I was looking through the whole process of manufacturing leather. It takes usually about a month to make each leather and a batch process carried on purely by hands. I think how these people's hard work weren't paid properly for what they should get, instead they only get just enough for living but they are satisfied, perhaps.

One of the most beautiful scene was by the sea side of the Medina of Essaouira. Although I didn't mange to see the sunset, but I got there in time before its gone. Absolutely, stunningly beautiful! As I am a kind of "country side" guy, I could imagine living here is very relaxing and I would love to see this sunset everyday!

Although I felt safer not to go to any of the desert such as the great Sahara but I regretted a little bit that we couldn't make it for the fact that time wasn't enough.
